Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z Launched – 42.4 bhp Engine, 157 kmph Top Speed, 32.5 kmpl Mileage

The highly anticipated Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z has finally made its way to Indian showrooms, bringing with it a bold evolution in the Pulsar lineup. With aggressive styling, segment-first features, and a powerful 373 cc engine, the NS400Z aims to redefine performance in the sub-2 lakh price bracket.

Launch, Price & Availability

After much speculation, Bajaj has officially introduced the 2025 Pulsar NS400Z, with prices starting at ₹1,85,176 for the 2024 Standard variant and going up to ₹1,92,938 for the new Standard version. Although the formal announcement is expected around early July 2025, the bike has already begun reaching dealerships, indicating an imminent rollout across the country.

Engine & Performance

At the heart of the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z lies a 373 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, capable of delivering up to 42.4 bhp and 35 Nm of peak torque. This engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and features a quickshifter, making it one of the most engaging motorcycles to ride in its class.

Depending on the variant, the power output varies slightly:

  • 2024 NS400Z Standard: 39.4 bhp, 150 kmph top speed.
  • 2025 NS400Z Standard: 42.37 bhp, 157 kmph top speed.

Ride, Mileage & Practicality Of Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z

The Pulsar NS400Z delivers an impressive mileage of 32.5 kmpl, balancing power and efficiency effectively. With a kerb weight of 174 kg, the bike feels planted on highways and agile enough for urban rides. The seat height stands at 807 mm, which makes it accessible for a wide range of riders.
A 12-litre fuel tank ensures decent touring range, and with its refined ride-by-wire throttle and quickshifter, the bike feels modern and responsive.

Brakes, Wheels & Tyres

Braking duties are handled by disc brakes on both ends, complemented by alloy wheels that enhance its streetfighter stance. The suspension setup leans towards the sporty side, offering sharper handling but slightly firmer ride quality over poor roads.
